Crazy 8's

Crazy 8’s is similar to the game of Uno but is a little different if you have never played it. You can play it with a regular deck of cards. The object is to get rid of all of your cards before your opponent does such. Expecially since whoever wins the other one has to finish the rest of their drink right on the spot. If you are playing with more than two people as a person goes out they pick a person to finish their drink and they have to get a new one so they can finish the game until they are the last one or until all their cards are gone whichever happens first. Also if you put down an 8 (wild) then you pick what suit you would like as well as who has to drink. Now that we have the drinking rules down I will go over the rest of the rules in case you have never played crazy 8’s or Uno before. Each person is delta out 7 cards then the dealer puts the rest in the center as well as flips a card up now the next person (whoever is sitting next to the dealer clockwise) has to match the flipped up card if it is a 7 of hearts they have to put down a heart or a 7 they may also put down an 8 since an 8 is a wild card that is able to be played at any time.

I rate this game at a 3 out of 10 because it is just ok there is nothing about it that makes it that amazing but it is a nice and easy game also you can have as many people as you want play.

Irish Poker

For Irish poker you need a deck of cards one person is the dealer and everyone is dealt a card. NO ONE is to look at their card yet. The good part about this game is the dealer gets to play as well and they cannot look at their card either.

Then each person in a circle guesses if there card is red or black if they guess correctly then they give out drinks a 5 would be 5 drinks they can split this up such as 2 to one and 3 to another or one person can get 5. If they guessed wrong then they have to drink for 5 seconds (all numbers are the number they say, jack is 10 queen is 11 king is 12 ace is only 1).

Next the person guesses higher or lower than the first card that they have ace is low. Once again if they are correct then they give out if they are wrong then they take as many as the new card shows. If the card is identical to the card you had last time you have to drink 2 times the amount on the card. So 5 would be 10.

Next is in or out do you think the next card is in between your two current cards or outside of so if you had a 5 and a 9 (6,7,8 would be inside but ace through 4 would be out also jack queen and king would be out) if you are correct you give out if you are wrong you take. And once again same is drink that amount times 2

Last card you have to guess what suit your next card is going to be (Clubs, Spades, Hearts, Diamonds) and give or take your drinks accordingly.

Lastly make your train it goes in 1 rows of 4 cards and 1 of 5 the top row is give the bottom is take you flip each card over one at a time and if anyone has that number they give or take depending on if the card is on the top or the bottom the 5^th card that makes the rows uneven is the worst whoever has that number has to drink a full can of beer on the spot.

I rate this game a 9 out of 10 it is a lot of fun and a large group of people are able to play at once.

apples to apples

Apples to apples is a game that comes in a box at the store. It was not originally a drinking game however many of my friends love the game so much and play it often that they turned it into a drinking game. You can do this to if there is a game that you play often with your friends you just have to make up rules for it just like any game. In apples to apples each person is dealt 7 red cards these cards you will keep and get rid of only one card each round and then you will be able to pick one up each time as well. (if I do not explain the beginning well enough there are directions in the box) There is one caller and this rotates each round. The caller picks up the top green card then reads it and puts it down now every other player is to pick which red card they think goes best with the green card (example the green card might say “funny” if you had a red card that said clown you might choose this one) each player puts the card they choose face down in the center of the table face down so no one can see it, everyone but the caller puts a card in. The caller then picks their favorite one(make sure to mix up the cards so you don’t know who’s card is who’s) the card that is picked does not have to drink and nor does the caller everyone else must drink then the next person to the right of the caller picks a green card up and the process is repeated.

I rate this game at a 7 out of 10 it is fun game that does not require skill it is a game everyone can play and it also has a chance factor since some people pick the one that fits best others pick whatever is the most off.

Garbage

I was just introduced to the game garbage over the weekend what you will need is a regular deck of cards and everyone needs a drink of their choice. Make sure you shuffle up all of your cards and then each player gets dealt ten cards each. Each player places the cards in front of them in two rows of five cars each. All of these cards are to be face down so that no one can see them even the person whose cards they are no one is to see the cards. The rest of the cards are to go into the center of the table. Whoever goes first picks a card off the top of the pile and if they get a one (being an ace) through ten places that card where it would go in there rows 1 threw 5 is the top row and 6 through ten is the second row. So if you picked up a 5 then you would put it on the top right of your pile in the first row last column then pick up that card and if that card fits somewhere in your pile then you keep it and put it there you keep doing this until you get a card you already have then you pass it to the person on your right then they get to use it unless they already have it as well then it gets passed again until someone needs it and then it is their turn. If you get a queen, jack or a king it is garbage and you put it in the center your turn is over and you for each card you take a drink jack-2, queen-3 and king is 4 also you take one drink if you had to pass your card since you already had that number. The winner is the first one to be able to flip over all their cards face up one through ten. I would rate this game a 4 out of ten because it is not the greatest drinking game but it is one that is decent.

Uno

I am sure that you are all familiar with the game of Uno however if you are not any box of Uno will tell you the rules on it. My friends and I last year changed the game that we all know and love into a drinking game. It is now one of our favorite games that we play all of the time now. You may be wondering how exactly we did this well you are in luck since I am going to tell you and the best part about it is how simple it actually is to play just like the original game is. You get the same amount of cards and the rules are the same as the original with a few twists such as a draw 2 you drink 2 and a draw 4 you take a shot. Also if someone puts down a draw 2 then you can put a draw 2 down on top of it and so can the next person and then whoever does not have a draw 2 gets stuck drinking that many times so if three people in a row had a draw 2 then that person would have to drink 6. Draw 4 is different and you cannot put them on top of each other to “save yourself.” The other rule that is different is that every time the reverse card comes up the person that it reverses to has to drink. Lastly the skip, whoever gets skipped gets to give out a drink to whomever they would like other then the person that skipped them.

I rate this game a 9 out of 10 since I enjoy it a lot it is also extremely easy to understand and you can have a bunch of people playing it if you would like to.

Casino

So today I was thinking about different themes to have for a party and then I thought about having a casino themed party. However instead of playing regular casino games you could pick a bunch of different drinking games. You can set up one table and have flippy cup going. Then the next table you can have people playing beer pong. One table can have people playing circle of death then another can have quarters or Irish poker set up on them and then everyone can go to different tables and play different games. Also with a set up like this everyone is sure to find a game that they like and would like to play and if they cannot find one then they can start another game of their choice somewhere else. I do believe that it would work out really well though just because there are so many different things that people can do and that no one will get board at your party. I cannot wait to be able to try this idea out to see if it works out as well as I believe it will. The only thing I worry about is not being able to have a person at each table to run the different games and if I leave it just for people to play if everyone will play what they want to play.

Spoons

This is a very fast paced game that is just a lot of fun to play and it’s really simple. All you need is a deck of cards and one less spoon then you have people playing. So if you had 5 people playing you only need 4 spoons. You do not have to play with spoons you can play with anything that you can grab it can be beer cans or forks anything that you have enough of that will not hurt someone.

The object is to get 4 of a kind and or grab a spoon. This is best played with large groups of people with about 4 or more but you can play with less. If you have a very large group about 10 or more you might want to play with two decks of cards so the game goes by quicker.

· To start place the spoons in a line in the middle of all the players
everyone will be around the spoons forming a circle is the easiest and this can be played on the floor or on a table.

· Next the dealer will pass each person 4 cards face down now your set up is complete. Now to start the game (remember one less spoon then there are players)

· the dealer picks another card off the deck and passes it if the dealer wants it to help him get his 4 of a kind he keeps it and passes another card if not pass that card each player may only hold on to 4 cards in their hand at a time

· once someone gets a 4 of a kind they are to grab a spoon immediately, once a spoon is grabbed everyone can grab one

· Whoever does not get a spoon loses and they are out of the game this individual since they lost has to take a shot.

· Then one spoon is taken out and you repeat the same rules as about until there is only one spoon and 2 people and the person who ends up with the spoon last wins.

I would rate this game at a 7 out of 10 it is a good game since there is an unlimited amount of people that can play but once someone is out they are out of the game which makes it tough to keep everyone involved. It is really funny though since there are no rules when it comes to how you get a spoon and many people end up wrestling for spoons since they do not want to be knocked out of the game.

Beer Pong

This is one of my favorite games it might just be because I am good at it and because everywhere you go in a college town you can find people that are playing it. It is a game that can be very entertaining also. It is good because you can make it into a tournament type of game and have a lot of people involved. Some people have parties strictly off of a theme of a Beer Pong Tournament. This is a fun idea just have people bring a partner and get some huge posters and as people arrive add them to the brackets that you have created. I have seen people make trophies for the winner of the tournament and the trophies are a lot of fun since they are made out of beer cans many times.

Most people are familiar with the game beer pong but in case you are unaware I will explain it as simply as possible.

Need:

Table

20 cups (such as red solo cups)

2 other cups for water

2 ping pong balls

You will have 2 teams playing at a time each team has 2 players and is as opposite ends of the table. Each team gets 11 cups one for water to dip the ball in the other 10 is to make a triangle with just like bowling pins are lined up like on your end of the table. Then fill the cups to the desired about with Beer.

If you are playing at someone else’s house ask them what their house rules are since there are a lot of rules that some people follow others do not so I am just going to go over the basics that almost every place will have. If you are the host make sure you know what rules you want to play with. To decide who goes first a player from each team has a ping pong ball and looks the other straight in the eye and shoots without looking at the cups only at the opponent and whoever makes it in first gets to go first. From there both players on a team shoot one ball each at the opponents’ cups trying to make it in kind of like bozo buckets. If you make a ball in a cup the other team has to drink that cup, if you bounce the ball in the other team has to drink two cups. You want to be the one with cups left in the end, the loser is whoever loses there cups first. Also if both team mates make their ball into the cup they get them back and get to shoot again. Also for the last cup both balls have to be made in otherwise the other team gets a redemption type of chance where they get to shoot till they miss. If they miss then the other team wins. Also if a ball is bounced you can block it but if it is just shot you may not block the ball. Good luck playing!

It is a game that he made up completely based off the commentary that is spoken. This just shows that you can make a drinking game out of anything. Also what is better than a football game with a beer in your hand anyway? It will keep all people entertained even the guests that you have that are not into football since they will be paying attention to catch the different things that are going on in the commentary so everyone is happy.

Flippy Cup

This game is great because it can have as little as 2 people playing to over 20people. The only important thing is that you have an even number of players. Also the only think you need to play is a table and cups such as solo cups and beer. The set up is to put equal teams on each end of the table in a line. Then each person gets a cup this cup is to be filled to a desired amount usually to about the first line in a solo cup. To start the game the first person in line on each team is to pick up their cup tap it with the opponents then tap it on the table once the cup taps the table drink the beverage as quickly as possible. Once the content is gone you are to with one finger flip over your cup (place cup half on edge of table and flip over with one finger). Once you get your cup to flip over and land upside down the next payer drinks and does the same. This game is like a relay race whichever team finishes first wins.
I would rate this game pretty average about 6 out of 10. I think that it is a fun and easy game but there are a lot more games out there that are more fun. In my personal experience it is also a good game to do guys vs. girls since the teams are not to uneven and it’s a game where both genders are pretty even at.

What I am about

I have played my fair share of drinking games over the past few years and I want to share them with you so that on any given day when you want to play a new one you can pick one on here. I am going to try to talk about a different game every other day and tell you about the game and how it is played. Also I will try to learn about some new games and I will tell you how those go as well. I hope that this will be a fun experience for everyone. I believe that it is a great idea for people to share the games that they know because all though some games are very common others are not thought of much or played often because people do not know of them and sometimes these are the best. I will list all kinds of games some that are for small groups as little as two people can play others where many people can play even a whole party. This way you will be able to entertain yourself as well as your guests that you have no matter how many people end up showing up. It is very common for more people to show up then you even expected especially on a Friday night in college and sometimes no one wants to play the normal drinking games that everyone knows they want something that is new and exciting. Well I will post a game later today it’s called Civil if you have never heard about it well it’s kind of a variation of beer pong but you’re going to have to just wait to get more information about it later.
