Drinking Games are inexpensive

Drinking games do give you the great aspect of being able to meet new people by networking and socializing. However that is not the only thing that is good about it. Another great thing about it is that majority of the things that you need in order to play drinking games can be found around your house so they are extremely convenient. Also if you do not have them they are cheap if you had to go and pick them up. Many things that you need to play are as follows, a deck of cards many people have decks of cards laying around there house everywhere. Also shot glasses now not everyone may have these but they are extremely common around college campuses and if you do not have one and need one to play a game I am sure you would only have to knock on one neighbor’s door and they would have one that you would be able to borrow from them. Most games use red solo cups these are very inexpensive and you can get them at some stores in huge packs such as Costco and Sams Club they come in packages of about 200 that is a lot of cups and they are really cheap and with these you can play games such as flippy cup and beer pong. For beer pong all you need are the cups a table and some ping pong balls. Ping pong balls are usually a couple dollars for a package of them. So other then the alcohol drinking games do not cost that much and they can add so much more to your party.

LCR

Left, Right, Center is a game that my family started playing a while ago after they were introduced to it on one New Years Eve. Every person puts in three dollars you will also need three dice you can actually get dice that have an L, C, R on them along with a dot if you cannot find these you can make certain numbers the letters such as 6 is L, 5 is a R, 4 is C and one threw three are dots. You will also need to put a cup in the center. Each person has a drink all of them you probably want the same since you do not want to be mixing drinks and you will go in a circle whoever starts rolls as many dice as they have dollars (so at the start everyone has 3 dollars so you will roll 3 dice) then you do what the dice tell you to do each dice represents what you are to do with one of your dollars also what you are to do with drinks, if you get a dot you get to keep your dollar and no drinks are given out taken for that die, if it is an R this means the person on your right has to take a drink but also gets a dollar same for the person on your left for an L . If you get a C your dollar goes in the center of the table and you get to pour as much as you want into the center cup of beer (or drink of choice). Then your turn is over. If you run out of dollars you have to chug the center cup if anything is in it. If there is nothing in it you just got lucky. The winner is the person who ends up with that last dollar. Also remember you are not out once you run out of dollars since the person next to you could still pass it to you.

I would rate this game at a 7 out of 10 because it is pure luck and does not take a bunch of talent to play.

Wine Tasting

A wine tasting party is a fun way to get everyone together. Just get some bottles of wine and invite some of your neighbors and friends over. Now at first you might be thinking that this is going to cost me a lot of money but there are all different types of wine that range in all different prices. I have come across a wine brand called Arbor Mist it is extremely reasonably priced and it comes in many different flavors. I personally like the Blackberry Merlot I would have to say that this is my favorite flavor of theirs. However many of their flavors are very good they also have a white zinfandel that is a fruity one which tastes very good as well. Now back to the wine tasting party if you do not want to buy all the wine just have everyone bring a bottle of their choice and you can get a variety that way and you only have to buy a few bottles of wine on your own then I would buy two or three just to be safe in case someone does not end up bringing one this way you do not run out. I have had wine tasting parties before and they are a very good time it is nice to just get a group of people together and catch up with people you have not talked to in a while. It is also a lot of fun when someone brings someone new so you get to meet them to. Also wine tastings are usually a smaller group of people which is nice one the days that you do not want to have a huge party but you still want to get some people together.

Spoons

This is a very fast paced game that is just a lot of fun to play and it’s really simple. All you need is a deck of cards and one less spoon then you have people playing. So if you had 5 people playing you only need 4 spoons. You do not have to play with spoons you can play with anything that you can grab it can be beer cans or forks anything that you have enough of that will not hurt someone.

The object is to get 4 of a kind and or grab a spoon. This is best played with large groups of people with about 4 or more but you can play with less. If you have a very large group about 10 or more you might want to play with two decks of cards so the game goes by quicker.

· To start place the spoons in a line in the middle of all the players
everyone will be around the spoons forming a circle is the easiest and this can be played on the floor or on a table.

· Next the dealer will pass each person 4 cards face down now your set up is complete. Now to start the game (remember one less spoon then there are players)

· the dealer picks another card off the deck and passes it if the dealer wants it to help him get his 4 of a kind he keeps it and passes another card if not pass that card each player may only hold on to 4 cards in their hand at a time

· once someone gets a 4 of a kind they are to grab a spoon immediately, once a spoon is grabbed everyone can grab one

· Whoever does not get a spoon loses and they are out of the game this individual since they lost has to take a shot.

· Then one spoon is taken out and you repeat the same rules as about until there is only one spoon and 2 people and the person who ends up with the spoon last wins.

I would rate this game at a 7 out of 10 it is a good game since there is an unlimited amount of people that can play but once someone is out they are out of the game which makes it tough to keep everyone involved. It is really funny though since there are no rules when it comes to how you get a spoon and many people end up wrestling for spoons since they do not want to be knocked out of the game.

Beer Pong

This is one of my favorite games it might just be because I am good at it and because everywhere you go in a college town you can find people that are playing it. It is a game that can be very entertaining also. It is good because you can make it into a tournament type of game and have a lot of people involved. Some people have parties strictly off of a theme of a Beer Pong Tournament. This is a fun idea just have people bring a partner and get some huge posters and as people arrive add them to the brackets that you have created. I have seen people make trophies for the winner of the tournament and the trophies are a lot of fun since they are made out of beer cans many times.

Most people are familiar with the game beer pong but in case you are unaware I will explain it as simply as possible.

Need:

Table

20 cups (such as red solo cups)

2 other cups for water

2 ping pong balls

You will have 2 teams playing at a time each team has 2 players and is as opposite ends of the table. Each team gets 11 cups one for water to dip the ball in the other 10 is to make a triangle with just like bowling pins are lined up like on your end of the table. Then fill the cups to the desired about with Beer.

If you are playing at someone else’s house ask them what their house rules are since there are a lot of rules that some people follow others do not so I am just going to go over the basics that almost every place will have. If you are the host make sure you know what rules you want to play with. To decide who goes first a player from each team has a ping pong ball and looks the other straight in the eye and shoots without looking at the cups only at the opponent and whoever makes it in first gets to go first. From there both players on a team shoot one ball each at the opponents’ cups trying to make it in kind of like bozo buckets. If you make a ball in a cup the other team has to drink that cup, if you bounce the ball in the other team has to drink two cups. You want to be the one with cups left in the end, the loser is whoever loses there cups first. Also if both team mates make their ball into the cup they get them back and get to shoot again. Also for the last cup both balls have to be made in otherwise the other team gets a redemption type of chance where they get to shoot till they miss. If they miss then the other team wins. Also if a ball is bounced you can block it but if it is just shot you may not block the ball. Good luck playing!

It is a game that he made up completely based off the commentary that is spoken. This just shows that you can make a drinking game out of anything. Also what is better than a football game with a beer in your hand anyway? It will keep all people entertained even the guests that you have that are not into football since they will be paying attention to catch the different things that are going on in the commentary so everyone is happy.

Flippy Cup

This game is great because it can have as little as 2 people playing to over 20people. The only important thing is that you have an even number of players. Also the only think you need to play is a table and cups such as solo cups and beer. The set up is to put equal teams on each end of the table in a line. Then each person gets a cup this cup is to be filled to a desired amount usually to about the first line in a solo cup. To start the game the first person in line on each team is to pick up their cup tap it with the opponents then tap it on the table once the cup taps the table drink the beverage as quickly as possible. Once the content is gone you are to with one finger flip over your cup (place cup half on edge of table and flip over with one finger). Once you get your cup to flip over and land upside down the next payer drinks and does the same. This game is like a relay race whichever team finishes first wins.
I would rate this game pretty average about 6 out of 10. I think that it is a fun and easy game but there are a lot more games out there that are more fun. In my personal experience it is also a good game to do guys vs. girls since the teams are not to uneven and it’s a game where both genders are pretty even at.

Civil

This game is meant for 6 people. It is played similar to beer pong however there are two teams of three players each. You will need the following things to play this game….

· 3 Ping Pong Balls

· A table

· 18cups

· Beer to fill the cups with

· A minimum of 6 people

Set up: on opposite ends of the table set up 3 separate triangles (3 cups in a 2-1 pattern) one in the middle and one on each corner. There should be a total of 6 triangles now on the table. Now fill cups to desired amount…. Usually less than half a cup

To play: Each person has a triangle made of three cups they are to start standing behind there cups. Paper, scissors, rock for which side gets 2 ping pong balls the losing side gets only 1 to start. At the start anyone can aim for any cup they would like on opposite side of table if they make it in that person has to drink there cup the person who is drinking has to finish their drink before they can continue playing once all three of an individual’s cups has been shot in they are out of the game. This continues the whole game you can take anyone out that you want by making it into their cups before you get knocked out yourself. Unlike in beer pong it is a constant moving game in civil there is no stopping until there are no cups left on one side of the table this is when the team that still has cups left wins. Balls are all fair game if they bounce back grab them and throw them again it is to your advantage to never stop throwing since the faster you go the more chances you have at making it. So one a ball is thrown you should get it as fast as possible and shoot at your opponents cups.

This is a fast paced game that gets everyone moving and is good for a larger group of people. I really enjoy this game and every first time player I have seen enjoys it also and usually doesn’t want to stop playing. This game is better to have a lot of room since there is constant running around. I like it more than beer pong because it is constant movement and more people get to play at once. Also people can come back a lot quicker in Civil which makes it more fare even with teams that are matched unevenly talent wise.

I would rate this game an 8 out of 10 only downfall is if you do not have enough people or the space to play.
